In Home Care
Government Funded Program
How does it work
In-Home Care is a flexible alternative for those families who are not able to access mainstream child care services.
As a government approved service Gawler Riverside In-Home Care can provide you with access to in home child care funding, provided you meet the criteria set out under "Government Funding".
In a situation of ongoing care we provide you with the choice to interview potential educators or simply to bring your own carer/ educator to the scheme.
All our educators have experience with children, are reference checked, hold current Working With Children Check, a first aid certificate and are monitored while at work.
Our educators are involved in training to help them bring fresh ideas to your home.
For information on the application process please get in touch with us.
If you meet the In Home Care criteria outlined below you may be eligible for government assistance to meet your in home child care costs!
You may be eligible for subsidised In Home Care if you answer yes to any of the criteria below and a mainstream child care service is not available or appropriate:
- parents or carers are working non-standard or variable hours, outside normal child care service hours
- parents or carers are geographically isolated from other types of approved child care, particularly in rural or remote locations
- the family has challenging or complex needs, including where families are experiencing challenging situations, and other approved child care services are not able to meet the needs of the child or the family.
Types of Funding
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a means tested subsidy which may reduce upfront In Home Care fees.
You must be registered with the Department of Human Services to receive funding - www.humanservices.gov.au
